City of Miami Mayor and Florida African American Caribbean Empowerment Alliance holding voter registration drive

Miami — City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado accompanied by Eric Battles, representative of the Florida African American Caribbean Empowerment Alliance: Unite for Dignity (F.A.C.E.) and Haydee Wheeler, Neighborhood Enhancement Teams, (NET) Director will hold a Press Conference on Friday, September 17, 2010, at 11:00am, at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, to announce a voter registration drive, at various NET Offices throughout the city, during the months of September and October.

“Under the leadership of FACE Alliance Chairman State Senator Tony Hill, FACE Unite for Dignity is excited to partner with the City of Miami. We are working hard to ensure that our communities are registered to vote and are civically engaged.” said Miami native and F.A.C.E.: Unite for Dignity South Florida Political Director Eric Battles.

F.A.C.E.’s goal is to attract, educate, organize and mobilize African American and Caribbean voters in Florida. One of the ways to accomplish this is through voter registration.

Starting Monday, September 20th, residents can visit the following NET Offices where members of F.A.C.E. will be on hand to register them to vote:
