City of Miami Gardens presents 3rd Annual Business Assistance Workshop

MIAMI GARDENS – The City of Miami Gardens Code Compliance Division is hosting their 3rd Annual Business Assistance Workshop. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the North Dade Regional Library located at 2455 NW 183rd Street.

Are you a business owner in the City of Miami Gardens? Are you seeking an opportunity to expand your business? Come get the information that will get you organized and ready for the next steps to success.

Representatives from various City departments will be available to speak with business owners one-on-one about renewal procedures for the Business Tax Receipt & Certificate of Use, upcoming contracts, local vendor preferences, alarm registrations, Sign Code Regulations, Economic incentives for new and existing businesses, and more.

There will be representatives from other agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, Small Business Administration, Partners for Self Employment, South Florida Commuter Services, Miami Dade Office of Community & Economic Development, South Florida Commuter Services, Florida Power & Light, BAC Funding and the Beacon Council. This event will also provide a wonderful networking opportunity for business owners in Miami Gardens. If you are currently operating a business, interested in starting a business, or are a business manager you are encouraged to attend.

Last year, more than 200 businesses leaders overflowed to City Hall, to meet with respective industry contacts on their business’ needs. This year, will be no different.
