On this occasion, Mayor Oliver Gilbert III will give welcome remarks; Dr. Fidel Goldson Jr. of Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center will deliver a keynote speech during the occasion; and Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson will be honored for her outstanding leadership and advocacy at the local, national, and international level.

This year, the activity will take place on Tuesday, June 16th, 2015 at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex from 6:00p – 8:00p under the theme “Out of Many People, One Caribbean.” Caribbean Americans have shaped the course of our country since the earliest chapters of our history, and they continue to drive our Nation to realize the promise of our founding. During National Caribbean-American Heritage Month, we honor the courage and perseverance of the Caribbean-American community, and we rededicate ourselves to building opportunity and protecting human rights for all our citizens.
