City of Lauderdale Lakes to Host Meet & Greet for the New Broward County School Superintendent and Broward Sheriff’s Office Police Chief

LAUDERDALE LAKES — The City of Lauderdale Lakes School Advisory Board is hosting a meet and greet for the new Broward County Superintendent and the Broward Sheriff’s Office Lauderdale Lakes District Police Chief on October 26th at 5:00 pm.

The Meet and Greet will take place at the Lauderdale Lakes Education and Cultural Center located on the second floor of the new Broward County Library at 3580 W Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderdale Lakes.

The Meet and Greet will honor the newly appointed Broward School Superintendent, Mr. Robert W. Runcie and newly appointed Broward Sheriff’s Office Lauderdale Lakes District Chief, Andrew Dunbar.

A host of local school administrators, and teachers, as well as long serving distinguished friends of the City of Lauderdale Lakes from the School Board of Broward County, Board of County Commissioners, Broward Sheriff Office, Florida House of Representative, US Senate, and US Congress will be in attendance.

The Lauderdale Lakes School Advisory Board will introduce its 2012 initiatives which include a special focus on mentorship programs for local students of all ages. Gwen Denton, Lauderdale Lakes School Advisory Board Chair said, “This will be an excellent opportunity to introduce our educational initiatives to Superintendent Runcie and welcome him into our Lauderdale Lakes community.

Chief Andrew Dunbar has proven to be an asset to our community and demonstrates that he genuinely cares about the safety of our children.”
