Chuck Fenda woos crowd at Lakesplash Festival

TWANN, Switzerland — Reggae powerhouse Chuck Fenda delivered a commanding headline performance at the sold-out Lakesplash Festival on July 10. He captivated thousands of fans with an explosive set. This performance turned one of Europe’s established reggae stages into a celebration of message music, cultural connection and global reggae energy.

As the sole headliner, Fenda powered through fan favourites including Gash Dem, I Swear and Warning. Meanwhile, he placed a major spotlight on his latest single, Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock, produced by Junavill Records.

The crowd response was immediate and unmistakable, with patrons singing along word for word throughout the performance — a powerful reminder of Fenda’s enduring catalogue and his ability to connect across generations, borders and cultures.

For the veteran entertainer, the night marked one of the standout moments of his career.

“The most memorable moment was seeing thousands of people singing my songs word for word and feeling that connection from the stage. The energy was incredible. It reminded me that message music still has power and that reggae continues to unite people from all walks of life,” Chuck Fenda said.

That connection peaked during Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock, the single Fenda is currently promoting. Transforming the song into a call-and-response moment, he had the audience singing the chorus back to him, lifting the festival atmosphere into full celebration mode.

Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock is more than just a song — it’s a movement. I got the crowd involved by making them sing the chorus with me, and the response was amazing. It brought everyone together and lifted the energy to another level. Europe embraced it, and that moment will stay with me,” he said.

The strong reception to the track demonstrated its growing momentum among international audiences. Moreover, it added another highlight to the night’s performance.

The strong reception to the track signaled growing international momentum for Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock and reinforced Fenda’s reputation as one of reggae’s most consistent voices of upliftment and conscious music.

Reflecting on his longevity, Fenda credited his success to faith, consistency and a commitment to delivering music with substance.

The reggae veteran also expressed gratitude to his European supporters. He acknowledged their unwavering loyalty throughout his career.

“First and foremost, I give thanks to Jah. My success comes from staying true to my purpose, never compromising my message, working hard and always giving my fans 100 per cent on and off the stage. Consistency, faith and perseverance have kept the Living Fire burning,” he said.

European Momentum

Chuck Fenda’s European momentum continues next month with performances at the Turnpike Reggae Festival in Germany on August 14 and 15. At these events, fans can expect another high-energy showcase of conscious reggae, signature fire and positive vibrations.
