At the conclusion of the visit Minister Wang Yi said it was a great experience.

The visit, arranged at short notice, was in response to the minister’s assertion that he could not visit Guyana without experiencing the pristine Guyana rainforest.

The Minister and his delegation ventured by boat from the Roraima Marina at Timehri across the Demerara River and up the Cumuni Creek making a brief stop at Santa Mission, a community of indigenous people.
