CARICOM Consular Corps of Miami Urges Completion of the U S Census 2010

MIAMI – In an open letter to Caribbean Nationals, the CARICOM Consular Corps of Miami is encouraging Caribbean Nationals residing in the United States to complete the United States Census 2010.

The benefits for which are clearly stated in the attached link from the US Government’s website: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/why/index.php.

In this connection, the Corps wishes to suggest that Caribbean nationals include at Question 9 next to their race, their country of origin – (i.e. Trinidadian and Tobagonian). This would allow a better gauge of the number of citizens of Caribbean decent and, in this case, specifically those from Trinidad and Tobago, and the other Caribbean Islands who are residing in the United States of America.
