Caribbean Marketing Powerhouses tapped to assist in promotional efforts for The Adrienne Arsht Center’s upcoming Jamaican play, “The Harder They Come”

MIAMI – Circle of One Marketing and Riddims Marketing, two of South Florida’s most prominent Caribbean marketing and public relations firms, have been tapped to assist with the public relations efforts for The Harder They Come, the newest theatrical production presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

This London-based production is making its only North American stop at the Adrienne Arsht Center and will be kicking off on August 29, 2009, ending its run on September 13, 2009.

The Harder They Come is a hard-driving and irresistible musical celebration that follows the life of Ivan Martin, a young singer that hopes to make it as a famous reggae star in Kingston. Faced with Jamaica’s drug-fueled and corrupt music industry, Ivan Martin is driven into a fast and furious life as Jamaica’s most-wanted outlaw, and most-celebrated underground star. This groundbreaking production, based on the movie of the same name, is notorious for putting reggae music on the map. Focusing on the Jamaican and broader-Caribbean market, Circle of One Marketing and Riddims Marketing will use their proven expertise, as well as their vibrant and rich Caribbean culture, to effectively market the widely popular Jamaican play to South Florida and the Caribbean.

Proving that their reputation precedes them, president and CEO of Circle of One Marketing, Suzan McDowell and president and CEO of Riddims Marketing, Eddy Edwards were both honored last month at HOT 105’s Caribbean-American Heritage Month Celebration for their unique contributions on behalf of Caribbean-Americans.

“The Adrienne Arsht Center is proud to have the leaders of two of the most well-respected Caribbean marketing agencies behind the promotional efforts of this beloved, authentically-Jamaican musical,” stated Andrew Goldberg, vice-president, marketing of the Adrienne Arsht Center. “This partnership will help us to faithfully deliver on the Center’s commitment to provide opportunities for the community to celebrate diverse cultures at the Adrienne Arsht Center.”
