Caribbean Fashion Extravaganza comes to South Florida

PLANTATION – Synjen Magazine-an online publication which features news views, interviews and information about fashion, entertainment, politics and other facets of life in the United States, the Caribbean and beyond will host the largest lineup of Caribbean designers in a one day Caribbean Fashion Extravaganza at the esteemed Renaissance Plantation Hotel, Sunday June 28, 2009, 8:00pm.

Designed to give Caribbean designers, hair stylists, models and makeup artists a chance to showcase their work on a larger scale outside of their native island homes, the event is expected to feature the artistry of Caribbean professionals from several islands to include Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad, Barbados, St. Kitts, Dominica Republic, Antigua and Cuba among others.

In addition to displaying their line on a runway, the designers will also have their clothes on display on a website that is currently being built to showcase the work of these upcoming fashionistas.

President and CEO of Synjen Magazine, Maurice Tucker says, “the event is expected to give upcoming designers, models, stylists and makeup artists a chance to showcase their work but also serves as an opportunity for people in the United States to see the talent that exists in the Caribbean in areas outside of music and sports where names like Usain Bolt and Bob Marley reign supreme.” He went on to say that he intends for the show to become a staple on the calendar of events that cannot be missed in South Florida.
