Caribbean-American to Perform The National Anthem for Miami Heat

MIAMI – International critically-acclaimed Narada Jazz/Blue Note Recording sensation, Smooth Jazz News’2004 Debut Artist of the year and 2007 recipient of the prestigious Onyx “Ovation” Award, Saxophonist “Eric Darius” will perform the U.S.A.’s National Anthem on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 7:30 PM at The American Airlines Arena in Miami for one of the most exciting games of the season between The National Basketball Association’s Miami Heat and The Minnesota Timberwolves.

Eric (Whose father is Haitian, and mother is Jamaican) will also give a special half-time performance of Christmas music on the East Plaza for the kick-off of “Winter Wonderland” celebrating the Christmas Holiday season.


Eric Darius

Eric, who is known for his phenomenal saxophone performances that continues to leave legions of
fans worldwide in awe, has performed Globally including 8 sold-out shows at the Blue Note’s World famous “Cotton Club” in Tokyo, Japan in May of 2007.

Eric Darius has also previously given stellar performances of the U.S.A.’s National Anthem for the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the National Hockey League’s
Tampa Bay Lightning.
