FT. LAUDERDALE – The Portrait of Achievement Magazine (POA) is sponsoring a free breakfast to celebrate fathers.
The theme of the breakfast is ‘Fathers are parents…too.’ “In so many instances the role of a father is downplayed. Our goal is to magnify the importance of the presence of fathers in the lives of their children” says Sharon Blackwood, founder of Portrait of Achievement Magazine.
The POA Magazine highlights success stories of our youth and endeavors to do all it can to help bring children and parents together -especially fathers- as their participation contributes to the success of our children.
This free breakfast event will be held at the Best Western Hotel, located at 1711 North University Drive on Saturday June 16, 2007 from 8:30 am to 11 am. Registration begins at 8:30 am and breakfast will be served promptly at 9 am. Well known singer Miss Sheryl Rosegreen will serenade the attendees.
Guest speakers Dr. Owen Facey and Dr. Percy Ricketts will address issues relating to men and parenting
