Caribbean American Complete Count Committee’s grand finale Census Awareness Day event

LAUDERHILL – The Caribbean American Complete Count Committee (CACCC) is kicking off its grand finale Census Awareness Day event at the Lauderhill Sport Complex (7500 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderhill) on Saturday, March 27 from 4:30pm to 9:00pm.

Sport enthusiasts, patrons, community leaders, and business owners are invited to come out and enjoy three of the most popular Caribbean sports and eat some of the finest Caribbean cuisine while getting answers to questions about the US 2010 Census forms. Attendees can find out where they can go to have someone sit with them and help them complete their census form.

Dr. Claire Nelson, National Profile Partner for the US Census will be a special guest speaker at 7pm.

The Caribbean American Complete Count Committee (CACCC) was created under the leadership of State Representative Hazelle Rogers, member of the statewide complete count committee, the Greater Caribbean American Cultural Coalition Census sub-committee was organized with Mr. Hulbert James and Roxanne Valies as co-chairs for the purpose of Census Outreach to the Caribbean community in South Florida. In the City of Lauderhill, Commissioner Margaret Bates who chairs the Broward Countywide Coordination Subcommittee leads the City’s Census Outreach efforts.
