Caribbean Airlines CEO resigns

PIARCO, Trinidad and Tobago – Caribbean Airlines has today (July 27) announced that Philip Saunders recently advised the Board of Directors of his intention to resign as Chief Executive Officer for personal reasons. At the same time, Philip has affirmed his commitment to ensure a smooth and seamless transition and his readiness to remain in the position until a new Chief Executive Officer has been identified and appointed.

Commenting on his decision, Philip explained, “I have greatly enjoyed my time leading Caribbean Airlines to date and am proud of the tremendous progress we have made. I would like to thank the Board, all my team and our customers for their support. We continue to face many challenges and opportunities, and its business as usual for all of us as we move forward.”

Arthur Lok Jack, Chairman of the Board of Directors, commented, “We are grateful to Philip for his contribution to the positive development of Caribbean Airlines and wish him every success for the future. We are pleased that he has agreed to continue in the position for the time being as the company maintains its focus on ensuring a seamless transition to new leadership.”
