Broward Caribbean Carnival at Central Regional Park October 12

LAUDERHILL – One of the largest and most colorful events in the nation spotlighting Caribbean culture comes to Broward County on Sunday, October 12, when Central Broward Regional Park, 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderdhill, hosts the Broward Caribbean Carnival and Parade. Festivities begin at 1 p.m.

The Caribbean Carnival will feature music, food and crafts, and will culminate in a street parade and carnival extravaganza featuring dozens of bands of masqueraders with nearly 2,000 performers wearing exotic costumes.

Due to the large number of attendees expected, additional space for parking has been provided at the Swap Shop, the Lauderhill Mall, the Tri-Rail Station at Broward Blvd., and Simms Car Wash at SR-441 and 19th St. Broward County Transit encourages Carnival-goers to take the bus. Routes serving Broward Central Park are 18, 36, 40 and 81 and all stop at the Lauderhill Mall, located just west of the park. Visit www.broward.org/bct.

No bottles, glass, coolers or alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine are allowed in the park. Admission to the Carnival is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 7-15.
