A significant part of the festival will be the long anticipated return of two of Jamaica’s and indeed the worlds most sought after dancehall acts.

Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest will welcome the return of the ‘Poor People’s Governor’ Bounty Killa and the self proclaimed ‘King of the Dancehall’ and Grammy award winner Beenie Man. Of course it is only fitting that both artistes will headline the strongly supported and highly enjoyable Dancehall night, which is scheduled for Thursday July 20, 2006. The event themed, ‘Stormfront- the explosive dancehall night’ will showcase some of the Jamaica’s greatest and the worlds’ best dancehall performers and is certain to be, not only entertaining, but well attended.

Dancehall fans from all across the globe will descend on the Vibes City, Montego Bay, for Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest’s ‘Stormfront’ to see icons, Beenie Man and Bounty Killa on stage on the same night for what is promised to be an energy packed performance by both artistes. Both artistes have committed to delivering a spectacular show in their own unique styles through which they will display their lyrical prowess.

Summerfest Productions Director of Marketing Jomo Cato said, “The streets are buzzing in anticipation of the return of the giants, Bounty and Beenie, we expect thrilling performances because the artists, save their most exciting stuff for Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest”
Bounty Killa’s very recent image transformation, in terms of attire and social involvement, will also serve to heighten the enthusiasm and anxiety already surrounding the upcoming event. It is his return to share the stage with Beenie Man on Dancehall night that will be the one not to miss for this years’ Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest.
