Big Brothers Big Sisters To Host 10th Anniversary Star-Studded Gala featuring Jamaican Reggae Ambassador And Multi Grammy Nominated Drummer Willie Stewart

MIAMI – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami will hold its 10th Anniversary star-studded gala “The Big Event Live” at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013.

Over 700 of South Florida’s most influential business leaders and philanthropists are being invited to attend the private event which will boast a spectacular evening of Bacardi™ cocktails, an auction and fireworks by the bay followed by dinner and dancing featuring a live concert by the event’s Musical Director Patxi Pastor and his All Star Band on the floor of the arena.

200 VIP guests will additionally be invited to attend a LIVE after party at the American Airlines Arena’s luxurious new “Hyde AmericanAirlines Arena” which will be hosted by the Miami Heat’s own DJ Irie.

Five time Grammy nominee and international super reggae group Third World drummer Willie Stewart will lead a special performance featuring 40 of the mentoring organizations young people. They will be backed by the event’s Musical Director Patxi Pastor and his All Star Band along with several surprise celebrity musical mentors.

The Patxi Pastor All Star Band will then be keeping the guests on their feet and dancing
throughout the night along with a number of additional celebrity appearances to celebrate and
congratulate the organization on its 54 years of life-changing services to the young people of South Florida.

Big Brothers Big Sisters CEO and President, Lydia Muniz, says “This is the not to be missed benefit event in South Florida. Our goal is for guests to have fun and come back, which they do every year. We want to inspire them by seeing the impact of our transformational work . We need to raise $1 million dollars so that we can reduce our waiting list of 1,000 young people hoping they will get a volunteer “Big” to change their lives for the better, forever.”
