MIAMI – On Friday, July 3rd 2009 Global Vybez Entertainment will bring one of the biggest names in Reggae ‘Beres Hammond’ to the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami, Florida.

Beres, a household name in all cultures, is on tour with the ‘Harmony House Singers’ to promote his latest album ‘A Moment In Time’ which was released in November, 2008 under the VP label and features hits such as ‘I Feel Good’ and ‘No Goodbye.’ As a prolific songwriter, producer, musician and artist Beres Hammond never fails to ignite his audiences with his smokey-sweet voice, his cool demeanor, the tip of his signature cap, his spectacles and playful smile. His audience if not already in love before the concert will most certainly wish they were by the end of the show!

Guests on the Miami leg of the tour are Sugar Minott & Culture who are guaranteed to bring enjoyment to lovers of conscious reggae & lovers rock.

Lincoln “Sugar” Minott, a pioneer dancehall/lover’s rock singer with decades of hit songs which include ‘Mr. DC’, ‘Vanity’ and ‘Yah We Deh’ recorded on more than 60 albums and is guaranteed to be a hit. His sweet voice and positive messages will take patrons back to a time when lyrics and melodies ruled the dance hall; when love songs were heartfelt and partying all night was the norm. Sugar Minott continues to be a prolific songwriter, adept at balancing the personal and socio-political messages intertwined consistently throughout his songs and this will be his first performance on a major show since 2001.

Since 1972 the group ‘Culture’ led by Joseph Hill preached about love, unity, tolerance, social injustice, politricks and wars with hits such as ‘Two Sevens Clash’ and ‘International Herb’ and the music was embraced by millions of cultural reggae lovers world wide. When Joseph Hill the lead singer passed away suddenly on August 19th, 2006 whilst on tour in Germany, Culture fans, as well as the rest of the group, were at a loss and everyone in the band turned to Joseph’s son Kenyatta, who had been the engineer for Culture for many years, and claimed Kenyatta as the rightful person to take over Joseph’s position.

Kenyatta has proven to be a natural, charismatic performer who sounds amazingly like his father and has been carrying the torch for Culture ever since. This will be Culture’s first performance in Miami with Kenyatta at the helm.
