Air Jamaica guaranteed travel program during Tropical Storm Gustav

MIAMI – Due to the expected impact of Hurricane GUSTAV, passengers holding tickets for travel to/from Jamaica issued on/before August 26, 2008, for travel August 27, 2008 – September 01, 2008 may change their itinerary without penalty subject to the following conditions:

• Passengers must already be in possession of a ticket.

• Passengers will be guaranteed the same fare as they were originally ticketed on within the applicable fare parameters to begin travel as late as September 01, 2008.

• A request for deferral of travel must be made prior to departure of the original travel date. An open segment, “DS”, dated September 01, 2008, must be created for Passengers, who cancel their reservations without rebooking on the original PNR. Passengers are to be advised to keep a record of their locator.

• Tickets with an expiry date of August 27 – 31, 2008 will be extended for travel up to September 01, 2008.

• Passengers with totally unused tickets who elect not to travel must be issued a MCO/MPD for future travel on Air Jamaica for the full value of the ticket without penalty. The MCO/MPD will be valid for one year from the date of issue. Exception: Passengers originating in the UK – full refund without penalty.

Changes to origin, destination, season and fare-type may result in fare differential. Any difference, including change penalty, between the original ticket and the new ticket must be collected.
