Agency celebrates launch of “Social Marketing” Division

MIAMI – Over 200 people attended the launch party for Circle of One Marketing’s new and dynamic Social Marketing Division held on Thursday, June 26, 2008.

VIP guests represented the multicultural and diverse faces comprised of young professionals, business leaders, art enthusiasts, and executives from the non-profit sector. Dignitaries such as Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, Florida State Representative Ronald Brise, and Judge Darrin Gayles were in attendance as well.

In addition to raising awareness of the new division and highlighting its importance in the current social climate, the evening was also a opportunity to give back to the community by connecting social responsibility with the purpose of the Social Marketing Division, whose goal is to influence behavior and improve their quality of life through creative, targeted marketing campaigns that work and provide measured outcomes.

In this spirit, Circle of One Marketing held a silent auction benefiting two wonderful non-profit organizations – Speaking Hands and Girl Power, Inc.

The program, which was emceed by Circle of One Marketing’s strategic partner Lisa Silvera, Co-Founder, SR VP & Creative Director of thinkking media, inc., included endorsements from Bill Diggs, President of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce; Marc Morial, President of the National Urban League, Shirley Gibson, mayor of the City of Miami Gardens and Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan.

City of Miami mayor, Manny Diaz also spoke of successful collaborative efforts with Circle of One Marketing such as the May 2008 launch of the Alliance for Digital Equality, and his successful 2005 re-election campaign. Mayor Diaz praised Suzan McDowell and the team at The Circle for its commitment to intelligent marketing that will promote social change in the City of Miami and beyond.

The Barefoot Wine & Bubbly sponsored event featured entertainment by DJ David Solero, and an inspirational and moving gospel performance by Speaking Hands.
