“A Bahamas Affair” A Hit With Travel Agents

Scores of Travel Agents from the Orlando and Tampa Area enjoy ‘A Bahamas Affair”  sales and marketing road show

ORLANDO – Travel agents described “A Bahamas Affair” Road Show by The Islands of The Bahamas Florida Sales and Marketing team as a ” hit”.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s major sales initiative, featuring a live talk show, a 3D presentation, and Junkanoo dancers, wowed the many travel agents that attended the shows, in Orlando and Tampa, Florida, February 23rd and 24th.

The shows are the beginning of a major marketing initiative to herald the presence of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s focused re-engagement with travel agents.  The shows, have served not only to renew relationships within the travel agent community, but also to advise of the many new and upcoming developments in The Bahamas, as well as share about the major upcoming events on the Islands – including the Second Annual Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Festival.

The 3D Marketing and Sales presentation, wowed travel agents in both Central Florida cities, however, a live talk show, “The SCOOP” took place only in Orlando.  In both cities, agents were given the opportunity to speak with Bahamas vendors and partners, one on one, with B2B appointments.  The agents were also feted to the music and entertainment of Bahamian musician extraordinaire, Preston “Puzzle” Wallace.

In Orlando, guests were ushered into dinner by the rhythmic, colorful and exciting sounds and sights of Junkanoo and in Tampa Florida guests were treated to a luxurious meal of steak and lobster.

The road show continues into Hollywood, Florida, Thursday February 4th, where again travel agents will get to enjoy the live talk show and the other elements of what has been described as a “major and ambitious” marketing thrust.
