4th Annual Reggae Music Achievement Awards honours Reggae icons General Tree & Frankie Paul!

Toronto, Canada – The only award show in Toronto to recognize influential contributions to the Canadian Reggae music industry is back for its fourth consecutive year. Highlighting Canada’s top Caribbean talent, the Reggae Music Achievement Awards (RMAA) is an outlet for aspiring artists to garner the public exposure needed to reach international markets.

Facilitated by Reggae media mogul Delroy Sterling, the RMAA’s has quickly attained global recognition. Defined by Delroy as, ‘a celebration of outstanding achievements’, The RMA Awards publically recognizes artistic potential within Canada’s rich Caribbean culture.

Broadening its scope for 2010 the RMAA’s presents a 25 category award show, featuring a loaded roaster of established artists as well as up and coming talent from around the country.

In acknowledgment of ‘Great Contributors’ on an international front, the 4th Annual RMAA’s will pay tribute to the long standing careers of Jamaican resident entertainers, DJ General Tree and legendary artist Frankie Paul. Veterans within the international Reggae music industry, they’ve used their unique styles – General Tree (speed rapping, deejay on the system) and Frankie Paul (multi-instrumentalist, vocalist) to inspire the wide spread appreciation of Reggae culture. For their contributions they will be presented with honorary lifetime awards.

Hosted by celebrity guest Ritchie B. from RJR HOT 102 FM Radio (Jamaica) and a powerhouse line up of performers backed by the infamous E.O.P band, the 4th annual RMAA’s will be its most memorable edition yet.

The 4th Annual Reggae Music Achievement Awards will be held on Saturday June 12th, 2010 at the
Jamaican Canadian Association – 995 Arrow Road with cocktails starting 6pm and the Awards Ceremony starting at 7pm sharp.
