4th annual “I Know I Can” young woman’s summit founded by Caribbean-American

MIAMI – The concept of “The I Know I Can” young woman’s summit began several years ago when South Florida radio personality Supa Cindy began receiving daily phone calls from her young female listeners seeking advice for adult issues that they were experiencing.

As a result, Supa Cindy created her non profit organization “Supa Friends” whose purpose is to mentor the young women of South Florida and to help them believe that they can accomplish any goal that they set their minds to.

The 4th annual “I Know I Can” young woman’s summit will take place on Saturday April 14th, 2007 from 9am- 3pm at the historic Lyric Theatre located at 819 NW 2nd Ave in Miami.

The purpose of the “I Know I Can” summit is to educate, motivate, guide and empower the young women of South Florida between the ages of 13-21. The “I Know I Can” summit accomplishes this goal by using prominent males and females in the entertainment, sports, media and health industry.

The topics discussed range from HIV/AIDS, STD’s, peer pressure, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, health, nutrition, substance abuse among other major issues that our young women face on a daily basis.

This year the “I Know I Can” summit expects 1000 young women and Supa Friends hopes to give a gift bag to each attendee.
