17th annual Mother’s Day Event , Women of Excellence

SUNRISE – Nostalgia in Gold Inc, will be hosting their 17th annual Mother’s Day Event, Women of Excellence on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 5p.m. in The Grand Ballroom of the Faith Tabernacle center in Sunrise, Florida.
Women of Excellence will be held under the Distinguished Patronage of, Ambassador Madge Barrett, CD (1994 Honoree).

This special celebration will commemorate and pay tribute to our Women of Excellence and Mothers, who have given timeless contributions to our society, as well as in their various fields of endeavor. This year’s focus will be on the extraordinary ladies who “Uphold the rule of law”, both in their homeland and abroad.

Among our Distinguished Honorees will be:

– Paula Llewellyn, QC, OD; notably the first female Director of Public Prosecutions in Jamaica;

– Novelette Grant, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jamaica Constabulary Force, Professional Standard Branch;

– Senior Master Sergeant Pamela P. Rhinehart, retired officer of the U.S. Air Force, who served for 25 years in various capacities in Germany, U.S.A. and other countries;

– The Honorable Giselle Pollack, County Court Judge of the seventeenth (17th) Judicial Circuit of Florida;

– Constance Stanley, Captain of the City of Lauderhill Police Department Florida, among others.

This event has enjoyed overwhelming support in previous years and has been known to present an exciting culturally-enlightening program.

This year’s program will include both International and Local Entertainers, whose unique style and personal flair make for spell-bounding performances.

The line-up for this year includes:
– Gospel Sensation Candy Isaacs
– World renowned Cabaret-Divas
– Ebony of Jamaica
– Dr. Norris Weir
– Al Anthony & the Millennium Band
– Plus special surprise guest artistes

There will be a Mother and Child Fashion Show and celebrity guests. Against that background, we will not only honor and pay tribute to Women of Excellence, but will be providing much needed assistance to various charities and needy youths of Jamaica, as is customary at the end of these ceremonies.
