Tobago To Host Fashion Vanguard Trade Show and Exhibition

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD: The major players in the global fashion industry will descend on Tobago for the Fashion Vanguard Trade Show and Exhibition from October 22nd – 26th, 2015.

Fashion Vanguard Trade Show and ExhibitionFashion buyers, editors, bloggers and investors from the United States of America, United Kingdom, Tokyo and the Caribbean are expected to attend the exhibition, which will showcase the work of Trinidad and Tobago-based designers of fashion apparel and accessories.

The Fashion Vanguard Trade Show and Exhibition is intended to enable access to key fashion sectors and generate orders for global distribution, which in turn will present Trinidad and Tobago as a suitable and effective channel for inventive fashion designs and production. Among the designers that will be exhibiting at the show are:

  • Kamille Kahn Designs – Sophisticated and versatile handmade accessories made entirely of natural materials.
  • Cee Wee Designs – Handcrafted clutches and handbags made of natural fibres and incorporating Caribbean colours.
  • Movementbago – Trendy street wear inspired by the island of Tobago and made for all. Designed by Nicollette Leacock.
  • Ted Arthur – Ted Arthur is a craftsman with very distinguished clients – Queen Elizabeth II, US President Barrack Obama and his wife, Richard Branson, Natalie Cole, Chaka Khan and India Arie. For over 20 years, Arthur has worked with different types of leather to produce “one of a kind” quality products in shoes, handbags and slippers for the domestic and international markets.
  • Delia Alleyne – A sewing tutor for the US television programme, Project Runway, Delia’s designs are edgy, well-tailored and timeless.
