Florida Caribbean Students Association Hosts Its 36th Conference

TAMPA – The Florida Caribbean Students Association (FCSA) is scheduled to host its 36th Conference at the University of South Florida on April 9th through April 11th 2010 under the theme, “Culture Shock: Spotlight on the Caribbean”.

The FCSA conference is the leading Caribbean student event in Florida at which a wide cross section of Caribbean countries is represented. The conference is expected to have over 500 participants including student and community leaders, business representatives and other officials.

The 2010 conference will explore ways in which the students of the burgeoning Caribbean community in Florida can maintain the integrity of their cultural identity and stay connected with the Caribbean region. It will address traditional and evolving Caribbean culture, socio-economic and political concerns and specific challenges of the Caribbean Diaspora. In addition, the conference incorporates a Career & Education Fair to allow students to explore employment, internship and graduate school opportunities.

“This Conference is our highly anticipated opportunity to connect with friends from other campuses around the State of Florida, to conduct the business of improving the quality of our student experiences, to explore our own professional and personal development, and to revel in the vibrancy of our culture. It is a must attend event for any student of Caribbean descent,” stated Kerri-Jo McLean, Conference Chair, at the University of South Florida.

To obtain registration and sponsorship information for the Conference, please contact the Conference team at conference.fcsa@gmail.com for further information, or visit the conference website at www.fcsainc.org/conference.
