Miami-Dade Early Voting Begins Monday, August 11

MIAMI – Beginning Monday, voters have two weeks to vote in the August 26 Primary Election. Early Voting will be offered at 20 voting sites throughout Miami-Dade County for 14 days, including weekends.

Registered voters can cast their ballot at whichever location is most convenient for them. Hours are flexible too, with sites opening as early as 7:00 a.m. and closing as late as 7:00 p.m. depending on the day.

“If I had to describe Early Voting in one word,” said Lester Sola, Supervisor of Elections. “It would be convenient. You essentially have two weeks to vote.”

For added convenience and efficiency, the Elections Department will begin using the new “ballot-on-demand” technology that automatically prints out the paper ballot specific to that voter upon check-in.

A sample ballot has been sent to the homes of all registered voters and is now posted on the “Election Ready” web page at www.miamidade.gov. Voters are encouraged to review the sample ballot and come to vote prepared – even bring along the sample ballot with their pre-determined choices marked to speed up the process.
