St. Kitts and Nevis to be represented at 59th Meeting of OECS Authority

oecs flagsBASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – Heads of Government from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) meet in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday, July 26th.

The Federation’s Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will join his counterpart Prime Ministers, Premiers and Chief Minister for the 59th Meeting of the OECS Authority.

The meeting at the NIS Building in Kingstown will be chaired by Dominica’s Prime Minister the Hon. Roosevelt Skerritt.

OECS leaders are expected to discuss several issues including the Secretariat’s Budget for 2014/2015 and the Report of the inaugural meeting of the Economic Affairs Council.

Prime Minister Douglas will be accompanied by Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and OECS Commissioner, Her Excellency Ambassador Astona Browne.
