Kingston, Jamaica – Jamaica’s music ambassador Richie Stephens is at the top of his game, enjoying success with his new single ‘Everybody Dance’ that has taken him from the streets of Kingston to the highways of Europe and North America. The singer recently went back in studios and poured his heart and soul into a compelling new song titled ‘For You Mama,’ that is dedicated to that special woman in his life – Mama Carmen.

“With Mother’s Day just around the corner, my mother Carmen was definitely on my mind when I wrote ‘For You Mama.’ However, truth be told, the song is actually dedicated to all the mothers in the world, who are there for their kids all day, every day” the singer said.

‘For You Mama’ has also been gaining traction on local radio stations and at dance parties in Kingston. The video for song will soon be serviced to video and cable channels here in Jamaica, Japan, the USA and Europe where he has a growing fan base.

Stephens has been enjoying tremendous success in the music industry in recent years. In 2012, his hit single ‘Live Your Life’ was named #1 song in NY and Jamaica. His follow up single ‘Warrior,’ stuck a musical chord with fans globally, while ‘Mary Jane’ found favor with fans, thousands of mile away in Japan. He again made musical inroads, with his inspirational single ‘I Found Heaven’ from his album of duets with Gentleman. His current single/video ‘Everybody Dance’ has done well, racking up over 200,000 views online. A number of ‘Everybody Dance’ inspired videos – created by fans in Poland, Japan, the USA and Jamaica – have been popping up all over youtube. It is a testament to the worldwide popularity of the dance routine.

On stage Stephens has been on a musical roll, delivering strong performances at the ‘Soul In The Sun’ concert in Montego Bay last October; the 2015 Jamaica Jazz & Blues festival in Trelawney and his recent pre-Valentines concert at the Resort World Casino in New York.

“2014 was a phenomenal year for me in the music industry. The plan is to keep the momentum going for the rest of 2015 and so far things seem to be getting better each day” he said.
