MIAMI – Effective immediately, Tammy Gonzalez will become Chief Executive Officer of Unique Vacations Group, the worldwide representative of the brands of Sandals Resorts International.
In this capacity, Gonzalez will continue to lead Unique Vacations, but with an expanded portfolio of direction and responsibility for all divisions of Unique Vacations Group.
“I have worked alongside Tammy Gonzalez for over three decades. Her sound counsel, leadership and dedication to the vision of our [Sandals Resorts International] brands, have made her invaluable to our ongoing success,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts International. “She’s worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes and has been integral in the growth of our brands. I look forward to working with her and the entire Unique Vacations team to continue our momentum forward.”
Gonzalez joined Unique Vacations in 1985, rising through the ranks to her most recent position as executive vice president. During her tenure, she introduced new marketing initiatives, spearheaded innovative agent education programs, ushered in technological advances and developed strategic revenue models that enhanced profitability.
According to Sandals Resorts International Deputy Chairman and CEO Adam Stewart, the long-standing relationship between Sandals Resorts International and Unique Vacations is a testament to Gonzalez’ leadership that is focused on the brands’ relationship with customers. “Tammy has built an organization that thrives on relationship-building, both internally and externally. Under her guidance, Unique Vacations has proven to be critical to driving the demand that has ultimately laid the groundwork for our expansion plans. It’s been an enduring partnership because it works,” said Stewart.
In addition, Andy Blanco, previously Group Senior Director of Finance for Unique Vacations, will become Chief Financial Officer for the Unique Vacations Group where he will be responsible for financial oversight of all Unique entities.
