Olympic Gold Medal Sprinter, Sanya Richards-Ross Trains Over 200 Students At Miramar’s Ansin Sports Complex

MIRAMAR – The City of Miramar’s Ansin Sports Complex played host to Olympic Gold Medal Sprinter and American Record Holder Sanya Richards-Ross’ clinic last Saturday, November 8, 2014.

Over 200 students from both group categories of 7 – 14 and 15 – 18 attended the sessions along with parents and coaches to hear tips about training, practice sessions, technique, and participate in q&a with the Olympic Gold Medalist.

“Both the City of Miramar and Ms. Richards-Ross’ team were very excited to be a part of bringing such an opportunity to the area’s track and field enthusiasts. To have an Olympic Gold Medal champion at the City’s world-class Ansin Sports Complex was a marriage made in heaven. This event generated such energy in the community, we hope it will be the first of many for our City,” said Terry Griffin, Director of Parks & Recreation.
