At the resort’s Bahama Buddies program, kids learn from the island’s biggest experts – local kids
ABACO, Bahamas – From fishing to snorkeling to laying on the beach or island hopping, Abaco Beach Resort in the Bahamas offers something for all ages. Today, the classic Bahamian resort announces the revamping of its engaging children’s program, Bahama Buddies.
This unique Bahamas family vacation experience allows young participants from near and far away lands to learn about the Bahamas’ island life from a Bahamian child. The program is designed for young guests between the ages of three to 12 years old.
The program’s new activities include:
– Island fishing or conch diving
– Traditional island dance (Junkanoo) or arts and crafts class
– Kayaking and other water sport
“The Bahama Buddies’ program goes beyond the typical child activity package as it involves meeting and interacting with resident kids and it allows our young participants to enjoy water- and land-based experiences with a distinctive local flavor,” said Jules McCafferty, the program director. “We are proud to provide a program that showcases our culture to our youngest guests.”
Bahama Buddies is available every Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservation is required by 8 p.m. of the previous day. It can be offered at other times upon request with a minimum of 48 hours advance notice and a minimum of four children.
