MIAMI – Nathalie Cadet-James is the girl who thought she’d be the next legal eagle, Ally McBeal (wardrobe included). After 8 years of practicing law at top firms in Miami and clerking for a Federal Judge, she realized it wasn’t her calling. “I needed to create, I needed to be an influencer, I needed to tell stories”, says Nathalie. One day she decided it would be her last day in a law firm.

The next day Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio (www.luxefete.com) was born. Today Nathalie is regarded as one of the top social planners in Florida. Nathalie Cadet-James is President of Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio.

Luxe Fête is a full service international event planning and design studio based in Miami, Florida. Global clients seek our services to plan, design, and produce their special events, not only in South Florida, but all over the world. From managing multi-day events for 600 attendees to planning a VIP dinner party for six guests, Luxe Fête provides award winning services from concept to completion. We specialize in Corporate Events, Weddings, Social Celebrations, Gala Dinners & Award Shows and Incentive Programs and Trips.

“I am passionate about beautiful events, philanthropy and social responsibility. Currently, I am the chairman of the Overtown Music Project, a non-profit dedicated to bringing music back to Overtown, once considered the Harlem of the South. Music transcends all boundaries, which is why I love to use it as a vehicle for change”, says Nathalie.  “As the former Director of Friends of New World Symphony, I planned special events for over 400 young art enthusiasts and led a 40 person Executive Committee comprised of key influencers in Miami. Our goal was to raise money and awareness for this cultural gem. During my tenure, Friends of NWS had a total impact of $830,000”.

According to Nathalie, “Miami is undergoing an impressive cultural transformation and I am enjoying the opportunity to be a part of it”. This proud Haitian American is still blushing at the fact that she was featured as a Real Beauty of Miami in Ocean Drive Magazine and on the cover of Art Bodega Magazine as “Miami Philanthropist with Reigning Style”. “I love that in this city, at any given moment, I will have conversations in French, Creole and Spanish”.  “I have many more to learn”.

Nathalie received her Juris Doctorate from University of Miami, cum laude, and graduated from University of Florida with a B.S. in Public Relations. She is the proud wife of SEC Attorney Brian Theophilus James and mother of two girls, Johanna James, age 7 and Lucca James, age 5.

Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio was nominated as the 2015 BizBash Social Planner of the Year!
