SOUTH  FLORIDA – JC Louis, the driving force known as “Fentz” offers more than a decade of accomplishments and experience in the music and film industry. Born in St. Louis, Haiti he would be the eldest of three children. In 1981 his parents migrated to the United States and music became the biggest impact in Louis’ life with the birth of Hip Hop. Now living in New York, the French speaking Louis was able to witness a new culture be birth on the sidewalks and streets of his neighborhood from his living room window with the break-dancers, rappers and beat-boxers up close. With the explosion of the Hip Hop movement in New York and like all young visionaries Louis fell in love with the culture.

In the late 90’s Drum Majorz was formed and with Louis in his initial role as Production Manager was able to negotiate tracks for several iconic record companies including but not limited to Cash Money, No Limit and Bad Boy. In 2000, as the business flourished from record production, Iconz Music & Films was formed and more big named acts were using Drum Majorz for their albums and started liaising with companies like Def Jam, Universal Music Group and Atlantic Records. Fentz needed to establish the company’s blossoming production division and market it as one of the many services offered, he and his partners firmly established Drum Majorz as the premier production and engineering service throughout the music industry.

Being the consummate perfectionist and possessing a relentless pursuit of success, Fentz continued to raise his company’s brand and involves himself in every aspect of the entertainment. His successes have included a stream of radio hits by well-known artist throughout the industry.

In 2007 Fentz expanded his portfolio, and established Iconz Films where he wrote and produced the first Indy film “Bloodline”. He then, inked a worldwide distribution deal with Code Black Entertainment/ Universal and The Next Hit, starring Fredro Starr, Rick Ross and Lark Vorhies, released through SJW Films/Lionsgate. The film’s urban and gritty content got rave reviews and established a cult following. Fentz is a capacity producer that takes lead in projects to see them finalized to perfection.

Outside the entertainment world, he is also a true humanitarian at heart. Along with Firmie Simpson, they formed “Haiti Youth of Legacy”. An organization that not only develops the potential of the young women of Haiti but also lifts the value and worth in which they see themselves. HYOL provides shelter, nourishment, spirituality, counseling, a loving environment and positivity for young women and their children in his hometown city of Saint Louis in Haiti.

Today Fentz and his partners James and Jimmy Paul, have taken on a new venture by opening up Midtown Studios and Film, a state of the art music and film post production studio in the Heart of Downtown Little Haiti in Miami, Florida. With the help of City of Miami, District 5, Commissioner Keon Hardemon and Keith Clinkscales of Revolt TV, he has established “Behind The Spotlight”, a youth empowerment and education program that not only teaches the kids of self-worth, but also educate on all the behind the scenes of the Entertainment Industry.

Fentz is a creator, a visionary, and has paved his own way, built his own platform and has successfully mentored several individuals and artists throughout the independent entertainment industry in Miami. He is a force, a movement…He is FENTZ!
