Charlie Crist Takes Deep Dive Into Caribbean Community Of South Florida

DAVIE – As the gubernatorial race approaches 30 days from the General Elections, former Governor Charlie Crist turned to his retail political strengths in taking a deep dive into growing Caribbean immigrant community in South Florida.

On Sunday, October 5, Governor Crist filled his day with a multitude of events in engaging voters directly.  Governor Crist visited over five churches with predominant congregations of Caribbean descent with Representative Hazelle Rogers and New York Congresswoman Yvette Clarke. After a morning of worship, he attended a rally with Broward Democratic leadership and activist at the Daniel Colson Center in Sunrise with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke out of Brooklyn N.Y and Congressman Alcee Hastings.

Later that afternoon, Governor Crist attended a fundraiser with Caribbean-American donors at the home of accountant Pamella Watson in Davie.

On the heels and the urging of County Commissioner Dale Holness, he closed a hardworking day with a surprise visit to the Kiddies Carnival at Central Broward Regional Park where he interacted with families and junior masqueraders at the 30th  anniversary of the Miami Broward Carnival.
