Celebrate 8th Annual Anancy Festival At Broward College Library

BROWARD COUNTY – In celebration of National Caribbean American Heritage Month, the South Regional/Broward College Library will host the 8th Annual Anancy Festival on Saturday, June 18th, 2016  1pm.

The 8th Annual Anancy Festival event is centered on the indomitable folk hero Anancy.

Anancy Festival At Broward College LibraryBring the children along for a fun filled afternoon of Caribbean culture which this year will feature a dance performance from Body Nation Dance Theatre; Dr. Sue Davis rendition folk tales from ‘Aunty Roachy’s Front Verandah’; cooking demonstration; art and craft; Mocko Jumbie stilt walkers; face painting and more.

Th is is a free event and refreshments will be provided.   The South Regional/Broward College Library is located at 7300 Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines, call the library at 954-201-8829 for more information.
