Black Owned Media Alliance Hosts Miami-Dade Mayoral Debate

MIAMI – The Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA) of South Florida is proud to host the final Miami-Dade County Mayoral Debate where incumbent Carlos Gimenez and Raquel Regalado will go head to head.

The debate will take place today, October 20, 2016 and will broadcast live on 1490 WMBM, 13242 NW 7th Avenue at 10 a.m.

The thirty-minute debate will touch on issues that will directly affect the Black residents of Miami, Florida.

In addition to discussing platform issues and solutions, the candidates will also take questions from social media.

Over the past few weeks, BOMA has taken questions from the community on Facebook, Twitter, and by email.

The co-moderators for the debate are BOMA members Carolyn Guniss, Editor for the Miami Times and Jessica Garrett Modkins, President for the ad agency Hip Rock Star.

The Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA) was established in the summer of 2015 by Dexter A. Bridgeman in collaboration with Tony Lesesne, Woodie Lesesne, Jessica Garrett Modkins, Garth Reeves, Debra Toomer, Sandy Walker, and Peter Webley to bond forces of common interest for the promotion, development, longevity empowerment, and financial stability of Black owned media in South Florida.

Additionally, BOMA is committed to accuracy in reporting while providing the market we serve with fair and balanced coverage.
